Separation of Church and State, constitutionally this can't happen, then again the Constitution is treated like toilet paper by most law br.. err makers these days. If anything they need to leave marriage to the Church/Religion and remove the right from the State. Give the State the right to recognize 'legal unions', defined by each state. This could be as broad or specific as they want then, because they aren't redefining a relegious term or practice.

Actually separation of church and state means that the legal function of marriage should be 100% the governments, the church just has the rights to the ceremony.

And honestly, I don't give a flying fuck what name you give the legal function, but you and me both know it'll be called marriage by normal people. Trying to protect a word is pathetic.

If I were the type of person to get offended over this sort of thing, I'd be more upset that the question was asked in the first place.

I agree with this sentiment entirely.

The whole thing is rediculous really though.

Re: About the whole Miss California thing

If perez was willing to ask such a politically charged question based on opinion, he should be willing to hear an answer he may not agree with

Miss california didn't answer in an offensive/inflamatory way, and he was WAY out of line in his response imho

It sucks that her Miss California title is probaly going to go down the drain after that though

if you think about it, what those people prefer is their business for attraction. just like religion, religion diversity is good. just as long as you don't try to push it to me as a law, which retards that keep hitting the point as in "its bad". okay, what if its bad? they are doing their thing over there and not telling us we have to do the same like we do to them and how Jehovah witnesses do before you call the police and have them arrested.

sorry for being a bit angry there but i never liked the whole "we believe this so you have to follow it as law" when i was in high school i wanted to be in art class. counselor said "there is no more space" i walked out of her office and a <not racist comment> white kid and the counselor gave him the class. i told my mother and the next morning my mother was saying "you did not give her the class cause she is not white?" my English was bad at that time and the counselor said "well i say that your child focuses on something closer. her speech would probably land her a job at mc donalds at best.

so i do take offense went retards like that make comments "you have to feel this way because the mayoralty feels this is how it should be".

Yes, but in this instance - Q&A (i have no idea of the background) I don't think she was. Someone else asked her the question, so she wasn't starting anything. The answer wasn't that offensive, there was no damning people or name calling. I thnik what's worse is Perez's response. Did he really think everyone was going to say they agree with same sex marrage? Someone disagree'd with him and he starts name calling.

Re: About the whole Miss California thing

To be honest, I think this is bullshit. Whilst I disagree with her, she has the fight to free speech under the Constitution of America, and the fact that people don't like what she says doesn't have any bearing on her 'ability' as a model.

"I got my account banned. Can I use yours?"

Yeah, that'll work!

And yeah, this is just some fucktard taking advantage of the ridiculous amount of stupid political correctness everyone in America is expected to adhere to.

Re: About the whole Miss California thing

When I look for my moral fortitude and when I need somebody's advice I turn to Miss America because she always has the best answers and solutions.

Oh yea Miss California saying man and woman marriages lololol she's probably hyped up on 8000 drugs and been apart of way to many "adult parties."

<cold heart>
Lol at those being offended at her answer. Obvious troll was obvious the answer was very scripted to play towards what oddly enough the media portrays as a modern American society.
</cold heart>

And srsly somebody needs to get a life...

WTB 1 life plx.

Re: About the whole Miss California thing

I've been banned for saying that SL/SL Warlocks were OP, and that a blue had quotes "Absolutely no idea what he was talking about", which got me 10 days for trolling, and then again for saying that Resto Druids were OP in 2.4. Frankly, Blizzard just hand out forum bans to whoever it suits them to do so.

My guess, OP on a blizz board is like a certain "N" word IRL.... it's that bad. You have to use the PC term of "PVP/PVE advantaged", or "Overbalanced".

It's probably because the official forums are such a terrible place, so they decided to enforce with moderation more harshly. It still doesn't help much, though.

Re: About the whole Miss California thing

So perez hilton is upset that Miss California's answer could "alienate millions of gay and lesbians in America" but couldn't care less about alienating the millions of vehement anti-gay marriage supporters. Masking his personal outrage with this guise of "oh she should represent all Americans" is bullcrap. The fact of the matter is, in this day in age, you could ask "coke or pepsi?" and alienate someone. Having an opinion alienates some group or faction. He asked a question, expected an answer, didn't receive it, and got butthurt.

Now instead of focusing on real world problems, our media is up in arms about the battle between a brain dead plastic barbie doll and a butthurt gay guy that makes his living making snarky comments about celebrities on the internet.

Stuff like this makes me hope the Zombie Apocalypse is right around the corner...
