As a raiding Healadin, I have to say that I am very underwhelmed about this talent for end game.
As many have said so far, it is not very often that the size of your heal makes a huge difference. My normal, non-crit FoL hits for right at 3300. Add 5% to that and it now hits for 3465 (a + 165 health per cast). That is RARELY going to make or break your heal.
And I am approaching 30% Haste with gear and Judgements of the Pure and my FoL cast time is down to 1.065 seconds so if ~ 3200 HPS is not enought o keep a tank up, it is time to bust out HL rather than try to make FoL a little larger.
However, without Sanctified Seals, my current crit rate for FoL (base rate + 5% for Holy Power + 5% for FoL glyph) is 37.39%.
I would MUCH rather increase my Crit chance by 8% (3% divided by 37.39% is an increase in my Crit by 8% relative. Not 8% pure, it is only 3% pure) rather than 5% amount healed.
Which, if I wanted to, I can still add the 3% crit AND get 2% more healed for the same 5 points I spend in Kings now....but I will probably instead use those 2 points somewhere else like Aura Mastery or reducing Curse duration via Pure of Heart or making my Cleanse spells cheaper because it appears that I am the ONLY ONE who has Cleanse linked to Healbot because on 2 runs of Heigan this week (10 and 25 man), I did over 80% of the Disease cleansing.
WTB a Ret Pally who can actually bother to Cleanse the boss' Disease off of himself....sigh....
Cheers,
[/list]
