I want to kill the king of Ironforge.

highly doubt this can be done on full pop server at 70, now that lvl 80 patch has been applyed

best way to do it is at 5 in morning when next to no one is on. dont think it realy matters were u hide local and world defense is both spammed when u aggro a leader so ppl will be running around whole city looking for horde. atleast most ppl on my server do when they see local defenes spams

when tbc patch came my guild did a tb raid and we didnt realise all guard levels had been increased to,
we hit boss and poped 15-20 guards and we were like shit shit wtf to do mages aoe! mages got 1 shotted and all guards went tromping raid no way tanks could get aggro realy cus expertise didnt exists on tank gear realy then

Varian just hit me for ~6500 MH and ~3500 OH before blocks. He also has the ?? (presumably 80) guards.

EDIT: Pulled him again, and he has a whirlwind that hits for 6500. That'll slaughter the melee for sure. It's probably better to have ranged on this fight.

EDIT2: He also has Heroic Leap, and I was able to solo 3 of his level 80 guards, but it took a long time. The best way would be to have a Paladin just tank these while the raid focuses on Varian.

Actually it would be cool if you engaged either Tyrande or Staghelm, the other one ran in to aid them. And they had some sort of clever banter as they did so.

*Tyrande is down to 50% HP!*
*Staghelm runs in and Mass Entangling Pwns all the Horde*

Tyrande: Well it took you long enough to show up!
Staghelm: Hmph. Looks like you needed my help after all. Maybe now you see why I should be ruling Darnassus!
Tyrande: This is not the time for such petty squabbles!
