3.2.2 Patch notes

Cant see any posts with this:

General
The Brood Mother Returns

After years of lurking in her lair battling the many brave adventurers who travelled from afar to challenge her, Onyxia returns to commemorate World of Warcraft’s five-year anniversary.

Onyxia has been scaled to offer new challenges to level 80 players and is now available for testing in 10- and 25- player modes.

Adjustments have been made to the encounter to keep it fit for modern raiding, but the fundamental experience of fighting the Brood Mother will remain, as will the horror of the Deep Breaths!

Some classic items Onyxia offered level 60 players will have their stats adjusted appropriately for level 80 players.

Brood of Onyxia, a very rare 310%-speed mount modeled after Onyxia herself will be available for the luckiest of challengers.

Copied Test Realm characters will no longer be copied with their achievement history in order to better facilitate the character copy process.

Re: 3.2.2 Patch notes

Well, Seal of command looks like it may actually do decent damage now *gasp*

Reckon we'll be seeing protribution builds in Arena for TbtL working off Strength?

Re: 3.2.2 Patch notes

nerf all around for prot tho, which is pretty sad,, i can see RF cause all the other class QQ's

but the HOJ change, and spellpower from stam all being nerfed purely from prot healing in arenas, how lame is that...

they need to do more than 60% str to make up for the 30% it was for stam,,, we are going to lose quite a bit of threat in this next minor patch..

Re: 3.2.2 Patch notes

Let me gets this straight, if we talent Seal Of Command, and attack with HotR we get:

3 SoC procs, EACH OF WHICH procs 2 additional attacks on near-by targets?

Now with the HotR glyph thats 4 * 3 = 12 SoC procs per attack...

Is this our new AoE seal?

90%->80% was needed really, as we were rather OP threat wise atm.

The touched by the light change is retarded. people don't spec into prot PVP for the 100 bonus spellpower. This change just makes Str even more our best threat stat. At this point they might as well just add "passive, all paladins gain 30% of AP as spellpower" If they were going to change something, it should have been the crit bonus healing.

And loosing 10s on stun is rather irritating. Couldn't they have taken it from imp.hammer of justice rather than JotJ? :(

Re: 3.2.2 Patch notes

I don't mind the cooldown change to the hammer and the spellpower/stam to spellpower/str which are obviously pvp nerfs again to stop proly builds but did we really need a threat nerf?

First a nerf to the best threat ability and then a nerf to overall threat. It shouldn't have massive impact but a nerf remains a nerf.

Re: 3.2.2 Patch notes

Touched by the Light: This talent now provides 20/40/60% of the paladin’s strength as spell power instead of 10/20/30% of the paladin’s stamina.
My paladin has unbuffed 2598 stam and 1102str (stupid slow armory hasn't picked up a few upgrades yet). Stam used to give ~780sp and str will now give ~660. My other guildies seem to have a bit less stam and more str so for them it should roughly balance out (ilvl 200 gear with gobs of stam and no str :\).

Re: 3.2.2 Patch notes

While it will balance out mostly, it will mean that Str will be >>> hit and expertise for threat again, and limit our threat gearing to a simple game of "which has more Str?"

It was more interesting design having Stam give spellpower. And Holy paladins don't do it for the spellpower, the +30% crit heals, silence and stuns are what they spec prot for. Its not going to help achieve their aims, and will just annoy us :(

Re: 3.2.2 Patch notes

Pretty much expected. My threat's been oddly high anyway. Think the Str -> SP coefficient might need to be higher than 60% though. Nerfin mah HoJ makes me a sad panda. Looks like it's time for some suggesting.

Oh, I'd argue that the bonus spellpower was indeed a big deal too.

Re: 3.2.2 Patch notes

Hmm, These threat nerfs have me a little worried, I noticed on hodir that i had 5 people threat-capped and i was pumping around 12k TPS. If that goes down by as substanial of an amount as these nerfs show, I'm gonna have a problem. There's a possibility that i'm wrong on this though and we'll be fine, since the DPs in question out-gear me by about half of a tier.

Re: 3.2.2 Patch notes

10% loss on RF and Str > SP change is a good bit of threat lost I am thinking. In my current gear the change is almost 150 sp lost.

Also it seems wrong that we would gain BV, AP and SP all from one stat

Re: 3.2.2 Patch notes

Post change I'm going from 790 to 740 SP, and now 10 holy damage does 18 instead of 19 threat, so 1/19 = about 5.2% of current threat lost from RF (edit: actually less than that as the baked in threat isnt changing afaik). It's a little annoying but not gamebreaking IMO. I'm less geared than the rest of my guild and they still don't ride me on threat very often at all.

Sharing balance issues with a different game is still lame sometimes tho.

No more easymode spammable AoE interrupts. :(
