warrior =#1 tank? when should druid and paladin tank?

pre-bc, warriors are the only tank that existed, so all the encounters are based on tanked by a warrior


now in expansion, druids and paladin are designed to tank also, but most ppl still believe even tho warriors are now dps/tank, they are still the greatest tank when compare to paladin and druid, and no matter what the encounter is, warriors can still tank all of it. can anyone think of a boss fight which really fits a bear tank as MT or a OT ? wt about a boss fight which u rather have a paladin MT?


alot of friends argue that if paladins can also be MT then there's no point of having a warrior, but i personally disagree since that we tank with different mechanics, i just hate that ppl think only warrior and druid can be MT since rage > mana, also the fact they take less dmg then we do. but also i feel sad for druids since they are so similar to warrior such that they would only be MT when warriors don't tank or unless they are very outgeared the warrior tank. there are no specific fight for them -_-!

what do you guys think?

i'm just really confused about the fact that if i should really fight for being a MT spot as a paladin, i don't mind being a trash tank, i don't mind being a tank for adds, but plz should i have a opportunity for tanking a boss? if warrior can tank it all and do trash along with a second tank and with CCs then paladin tank doesn't even need to exist. making trash tanking tino easy mode doesn't make us outstanding when compare to warrior and druid tbh

3 things:
1) There is no need for a paladin tank anywhere in the game at present.
2) There are a number of places that are made significantly easier with a paladin tank.
3) There is no place that a paladin tank cannot go.

Actually, that can be applied more broadly.

1) There is no need for a tank of any specific class for any given encounter.
2) There are encounters that are made significantly easier with a specific class of tank.
3) There is no place that a plate wearing tank cannot go.

OP, you're clinging to pre-BC biases and you're not even a warrior. Let it go.

Each Class is different to play, and is perfect for different encounters..but that's gimmick. All encounters are tankable by any of the tanks.

The best geared/skilled tank should tank with exceptions to fights you excel at other roles.

I.e. Morogrim adds.

Fathom Lord, being able to tank the hunter and pet at same time.


But to be honest, you could've looked this up. Its also logical.
