i feel bad at folks who get charged for a combine, im mean seriously it takes alot of effort atm to get all the mats unless you have shitt tons of gold coming out ur butt its dishearting having spent thousands of gold and hours time for the mats only to find the one person on a server is going to chagre you a ass ton of gold for him to make 3 clicks and wait 5 seconds because he got lucky. its just not right. its not like the orbs are BoP like the primal nethers were, there i could understand chargeing a chunk of change.. ca mon people..

It's supply and demand. They have the only supply and they'll be fools not to make money off it.

I bought all of my 12 orbs between 1 and 1.2K - how did i finance this? Sold my Alliance Argent Pets on the Neutral AH to the horde. Made a killing in gold.

I have sourced someone to make mine for a tip of 250 and yes, it's the only pattern Horde side on my server that I know of.

just putting this out there. i paid 250g to have mine made and as of now onyl 2 people (that i know of) have the pattern learned, and 150 for the boots (like 5+ people have the pattern). runed orbs range anywhere from 1200 to 3k on my server, just depends on how many are floating at a given time. to me, it's far worth it. 2 pieces of BiS gear = priceless.

Bought my first Runed Orb over the weekend. Bid only, 1k gold. Was the lowest I'd see it yet. Sure, it's only one, and I need five more for the belt, but it's a start. Somehow it seems less painful to pay about 1k gold per week as opposed to plunking down all the gold at once.

I think there may be somewhat of an explosion of runed orbs about to hit. Since the patch until about a week ago orbs were going on my server (Tarren Mill-EU) for about 3k.
On Friday I was very lucky and found two on the AH for 1k each, so ah hah now I have 2 only 4 more to go.
On Saturday someone was selling more in trade for another 1k gold each and I went to the AH and found about 15 all on for a similar price. My guess would be that people are using some of their embelms of conquest to make some quick gold following some wipeage on bosses in Ulduar.

And a quick note of thanks to my guild who used the bank gold to buy the remaining orbs, titansteel and saronite so I only had to fund crafting (200g).

They were 3k each now orbs are popping up for like 1400g. Consindering I have 200g to my name I wasnt concerned but then my raid leader handed me 6 orbs to my amazement and I gots me boots made. I feel strong like bull.

lol I'm going to start getting mats for the boots. I just noticed after I got my belt made, it was only a slight upgrade to what I already have.

I have bought 4 orbs to date - 3x 1000g ea and 1x 900g ea.

Guess some servers have really backward economies compared to ours (Al'Akir).

I think a lot of guilds sell these to get money in the guild bank. Although I'm afraid I will never afford this. Im struggling to afford dual spec

yesterday i saw the first advertisement for the boots, and while i have checked the ah for orbs before, i havent bought any before. the guy selling wanted a total of 5k for the boots, made and ready.

first time i saw a orb it was for 3k, just the week after ulduar was opened.
two weeks ago they were down at 1.6k each
and yesterday when i checked there were a total of 17 orbs out on the ah, 500g each. now we are talking.

the other mats i already had from pre 3.1, so pushing out 3k (and a good amount of tip) was quite an easy effort.

but yeah, seems like orbs have somewhat different pricing between the realms..

Holy....

The orbs alone are still 1.4k+ on Staghelm, and then you have the Titansteel. 5K for the boots is a steal.

I'm still going to hold of on getting these crafted, until the guild supplies it all, or at least kicks in a decent amount. I'd be willing to pay 5k with the guild picking up the rest, but I'm not going to spend 12k+ each for 2 items that while they are BiS, are not huge upgrades over what could drop in 25-man early bosses.

As for the belt pattern.. I see it in the AH every other day for 3-5k. Gotta be a lot of people with it now.

On Aerie Peak EU I managed to get 2 Orbs at 1340g each this weekend, usual price is 1500g +. Have a maker for the belt, I consider the Badge Boots [as my 1st purchase as soon as I get 40 badges] a nice stock gap until then especially as we are just starting Ulduar 10.

I don't mind paying out for something BiS now if it helps me be a better tank for our Guild. I don't really need the belt or boots for our current progression, but why not have them if you can afford them .
