What about Blade of Twisted Visions?
Lot of spell damage and stamina. Sure haste doesn't help with our instant cast stuff, but it does help with our Avenger's Shield cast speed (useful for fights like Leotheras). Should be considered at least as good as the Amani Punisher.

There are several items they have been ignoring for a while;

Boots of the Resilient
Figurine - Empyrean tortoise
Guardian's Alchemist Stone
Figurine - Crimson Serpent
Blade of Twisted Visions

for example.

Also, a small correction,

Frayed Tether of the drowned is not better or equal to the Barbed Choker of Discipline unless you figure that 8 Def Rating and 6 Stamina is better than 21 Dodge Rating.

Also, I agree, the Brooch of Deftness is a terrible Pally Tanking neck and shouldnt be on the list of options, the Steam-Hinge Chain is superior to it even.

May I know why the s3 weapons are not included in the lists?
Imo, Vengeful Gladiator's Shield Wall & Vengeful Gladiator's Gavel are best tanking weapons till you reach t5 or even t6 raids..

And please add in Sunward Crest & Dawnforged Defender too

Mathematically they are better than their Merciless counterparts, but they were probably left off due to the rating requirement. Many of us don't care about the pvp aspect of the game, hence the reason we are tanks and not gladiators. Plus, you'd be hard pressed to find a team to carry you to 1800+ rating and let you take tanking gear instead of the ret/holy upgrades that got you there in the first place.

Since pvp gear is including I think it would help to add the season 3 stuff. I mean some exceptions are made and some aren't, might as well extend each list a few more bars down to show a better progresion. I think a lot of the trinkets from the Heroic Magisters Terrace(Mr. T as i like to call it) and the cudgel off the last boss, although the cudgel less than the others.

I just think some of the terrace items should be added if some of the pvp stuff is there, trinket i'm sure will make the list when it gets updated(commendation of kael'thas) but the cudgel of concecration, seems like an upgrade to the pvp hammer and in terms of difficulty to obtain, plenty of people are going to run terrace for rep due to the jewel crafting trinkets, or the shields.

and in response to lewid, in the theory crafting section they actually show expertise to be just under spell damage for threat, so actually not too terrible for threat, and offers a very good stamina bonus.(on response to the brooch of deftness)

Gear should not be excluded because you speculate people won't go to the trouble. What if you respec holy or ret to do arena? Don't assume. This is a list of the best MT gear. If its worth while, don't exclude it.

Expertise is an interesting one, though. Once you hit the cap, its value becomes zero. Is there enough of it on gear we use to cap easily?

Why is the Commendation of Kael ranked so far down, below even the DMC:Vengeance? Seems that the "cheat death" proc is far superior than the negligible threat increase from DMC procs. In fact, compared with everything else on the list, i dont see how anything other than Moroes PW could be ranked higher...

The trinket list isn't really ordered. Some are obviously better than others, but trinkets are very situational.
