With the JC gems becoming coloured again, the stats are some what worth considering (comparable to chest enchant). However Epic gems may push it off the gemming ideal's much like the Tears where.

The int and spirit are useless, and 10stam/10str/10agi isn't as good as 30 stam.

That would depend on the socket bonus. If the socket bonus makes it worth matching the color for a yellow or red socket the comparisson becomes a bit more favorable.

In place of a purple gem (15 stam/10 agi) you're looking at 5 stam vs 10 str. Still not a great trade-off but worth consideration.

It'll be great for ret to get a blue for the meta bonus, but it's debatable whether or not it's worth it for prot.

We'll have to see what kind of sockets are in t9.5 before we can make any real decisions about it, but yes. The meta colour requirements that it frees up could be make or brake.

30stam clearly stomps 10stam/10str/10agi. Barring all prot sockets in T9 being blue, the real discussion is whether 10str/10agi beats 5stam + 10(def/agi/dodge/parry)

The answer to that is clearly no, unless you're really hurting for threat. 5 Stam > 10 Str for tanking in most circumstances if you ask me.

The int isn't useless, it helps Exorcism crit and provides us with more mana!
