It'd be cool if Prot Paladins could be the new "Shockadins" in PvP. Generally not that great, but given the right setup, experience, etc., potentially viable.

He means it'd be nice if you could make a Prot-based PVP spec that's really not optimal, but it could work out, given the right circumstances.

He then compared that hypothetical Prot PVP spec to shockadins, which are also a non-optimal PVP spec but it can 'work' in certain situations.

Well be shockadin or slapadin (do we need to find a name for the pvp prot?) there is a difference from TBC to WotLK, whatever spec will work or not, we bring worthy group utility now: scalable aura, hands, blessing and a kind of aoe shield wall.

Who know, maybe our 21 talent will be the ultimate pvp tool.... Razz

I've been toying with the idea of a Ret-based ShoR PvP build. Something like 0/14/57. You're giving up 2H white damage and losing quite a bit on Crusader Strike and SoC, but you get ShoR -- which should be massive, assuming PvP Ret gear has strength rather than AP -- as well as a boatload of armor from your shield.

Prot PvP = Flag Running & Node Defense.
