Make Us "Block-Tank" - Ardent Defender Idea

Cheat death for the win:

"Ardent Defender: Yo no die, no take candle and no snuff it"

or possibly

"Ardent Defender: If you health is reduced below 35% you gain an additional 6/12/18/24/30% damage reduction, if a blow would reduce you to or below 0 health you ignore the damage and gain the [AD-CD] debuff stopping this ability from proccing for 25/20/15/10/5s" (reason for the reduced cooldown is to make the ability scale, its really valuable at 5 points, but at 1 its a huge gap).

fix the debuff to ACDC IMO. AD will be cool as soon as it sings "Razor's Edge" whenever it procs.

What if it was rewritten more like a passive shield wall?

"Ardent Defender: If you health is reduced below 35% you gain the Ardent Will debuff preventing and additional 6/12/18/24/30% damage for 2/4/6/8/10s. If an attack would would reduce you to or below 0 health you ignore the damage and gain the [Strength of Will] debuff, stopping Ardent Defender proccing for 50/45/40/35/30s"

So if we are in Ardent Defender range we gain a buff to help us (so no more in / out and never actually see it proc as a benefit), if it wouldn't have triggered (massive damage) we gain a massive damage reduction ability, but lose the ability to trigger Ardent Defender. Would need balanced to work out how much mitigation this is overall, but it really would make our lower health less of an issue for us because we could be the mitigation tanks.

Getting round the hard to kill part it makes slow hard hitting bosses like Teron less risky for us, and lets us eat things like Pyroblasts (once / cooldown). You could even make it trigger forebearance if the second proc triggers, but I would love to see forebearance on a lower cooldown.

Well considering we get the Divine Protection to reduce damage by 50% on demand I like the idea of reworking this talent. I am currently not speccing into it because I would just rather pop my divine protection every 4 minutes as needed and use those 5 points somewhere else.
