Prot Paladin PvP

Hey guys,

saw Taith's new prot warrior pvp movie recently -> http://www.warcraftmovies.com/movieview.php?id=85583

and was asking myself if prot pala pvp in wotlk will work.
with HoR and SotR we have some nice dmg abilities while still having loads of hp and stuff.

someone in beta who can test it?

against a 2 melee team in a 2on2, yes maybe,
against a melee and caster or any type of healer&DD combo, I dont think it will work

The problem pre-WOTLK is usually running oom.

While JoL and Seal of Light are buffed, I don't think it's enough to help a prot in pvp, so I think mana will remain an issue.

If SoW is what a prot pally has to regen mana in pvp, well it will be dispelled like the hell.

I would assume that anyone pvp'ing would either be wearing AP or Healing gear, both of which should have crit rate. If you are pvp'ing in raid gear, expect to lose no matter your class or spec.

PvP'ers in pvp gear should be expected to be successful in raid, just as raiders in raid gear shouldnt be expected to be successful in pvp. Use the gear for the right job. As a hybrid, there will never be the complete removal of retaining different gear for different things.
