Can't keep you up very well how? Are they running oom? Are you taking too much damage too fast, basically being gibbed in a short time? Phase 2 basically needs pure spam heals until you hit phase 3. Have everyone save their dps trinkets/heroism/whatever for phase 2 to get him out of that mode asap.

Chugging an armor pot or two wont hurt either.

You'll be blocking a bunch when he starts to dual wield and getting crazy threat from holy shield. Phase 2 is the time for dps to go balls to the wall. (And phase 3 of course. Having a room full of infernals is bad juju)

can you give us the group make up?

I personally have cleareed Kara on both of my characters,2 different perspectives..Haxes,my lock, and Belphegor my Tankadin..

I have also tanked prince 1 time when we didnt have good DPS on him and we were in phases for to long.

yeah when i was tanking the group was:
2 rogues
2 hunters
2 locks
1 mage
1 holy pally
1 healing priest
1 me

and the healers pretty much stayed at 100% mana until phase 2 (60%). Just about every attempt, randomly during that phase he would pretty much instagib me. I've got grim reaper and it shows me at around 82% after a heal. Then I take 4 hits in about 1 second and just die. The DPS was really slow, so that might have been part of the problem. Also, just about every attempt at the very beginning of the fight one of them died to enfeeble + shadow nova (this kind of offsets the whole extra DPS instead of extra healer thing).

I dunno what was going on, but it wasn't pretty. I also popped my trinkets during phase 2 and used healthstones / healthpots, but it didn't really seem to help. Eventually a DPS had to go, we brought in an epicced out feral druid and i tossed on my healing gear and we killed him easily.

Oh yeah, crushings, I didn't take like any at all. At most 1 per fight if he hit me right as HS was not up. And I never died to one, it only happened during phase one where it didn't really matter. The druid took crazy crushings, but it didn't matter because he had 5k more life than me =/

On a side note, I got the helm ^^. Trying to decide what gems to put in it. Probably going with the 18 stam, 5% stun resist meta (although i need to check to make sure i have the right gems for it to be active or w/e). The other slot is a yellow hole and the bonus is 4 dodge rating. I'm considering SSoE and the epic gem that JC's can craft for themselves from KoT rep that is like 12 defense i think.

Thanks for the help guys ^^

the rogues: i know for sure one was standing behind because he is assassination specced. the other, i'm really not sure, but he is specced combat maces.

locks: one was affliction with ~700 shadow dmg and the other siphon life soul link with ~920 shadow dmg.

mage: frost with ~670 dmg

hunters: both BM

my only thoughts as to me getting owned are that someone got parried and that's why he attacked so fast, and i'm guessing that's what you were thinking and that's why you asked where the rogues were standing

2 healers in Naxx gear (~= 70 blues) were enough when we started, but only because we had 2 shadow priests pumping their mana. I'd say pick up a 3rd healer for that fight until it's on farm.

i would assume a rogue *may* have moved due to an infernal...and went to another side or different angle in order to run to a better path when he has enfeeble...its possible he was in a bad position...were the hunters bein Bm usin thier pets? imo BM isnt exactly a raiding spec Sad

BM is one of those raid specs that can do really good damage if played right. We had a BM spec'd hunter that had mastered the art of macros and his DPS output was sick. However, it seems like not everyone can perform well with the spec. My guess is that they are so used to levelling habits that the have a harder time transitioning to raiding habits, but I have never really played a hunter very far, so that is just conjecture on my part.

does anyone know if pets can get parried, and if they can, is it as devastating to the tank as say a rogue getting parried?
