Tanking neck pieces

Hey all,

I just hit 70 on my new tankadin, Hawtsuchi.

I have been running around gathering whatever I can in the way of quested gear and generally filling my bank with TONS of potential gear on the off chance that I might need it.

Currently I have three tanking neck pieces and will soon have enough reputation for the fourth:

1. Mark of the Ravenguard
2. Steam-Hinge Chain of Valor
3. Natasha's Battle Chain
4. Strength of the Untamed

My question is, should I keep all of this neck pieces for different situations? Or am I needlessly wasting bank space? Strength is probably better for raid tanking while Steam-Hinge is probably better for general 5 mans... but it lack stamina, which Mark has in abundance. That being said, Natasha's has almost the same amount with more mitigation...

I guess I need some help with fundamental philosophy in gear collecting. Pretty soon most of my slots will have similar ambiguity and my bank will really start to suffer. x_x

Keep the steam-hinge for sure, you will need it later on for a BV set. I vendored mine and had to farm SV forever to get it back.

For my normal tanking neck I used Maladaar's Blessed Chaplet (Heroic Crypts) before I got teh badge reward one and subsiquently the Kara neck.

The Chaplet is
30 Stam
20 Def
12 Dodge

I'd recommend the Strength of the Untamed over the Chaplet, I like stam but I personally value 1 stam ~= 1 dodge or def rating, making the Untamed win out. Also, I'd agree with the earlier poster about the Steam-hinge neck, it's part of my block set as well and was wearing it on our guild-first kills of Morogrim and Al'ar (I still do wear it on those fights, for that matter).

If you're just looking for a "which of these should I keep and which should I vendor" then the steam-hinge is the only one I'd worry about hanging onto. Otherwise just wear whatever's best for you at the time.

Do what I do when I'm unsure about which item to vendor. Always vendor rep pieces first over dungeon drops. That way, if you change you mind all it will cost you is some gold to get it back.
