Stam whore no more?

I have a lot of stam on my gear, because I view my health bar as an extension of my e-peen. I got a hard on when I saw my health unbuffed on the ptrs. I love my stam, and I love seeing big health bars. My question is, do I need all that health? So far, I've never seen a fight but gruul where I specifically needed to wear my stam gear, and I'm not sure if I ever will need that much health. I'm gonna be sporting 16.5k health unbuffed with about 200 spell damage (in my stam gear) when the patch goes live, but is there any point in BT/Hyjal where I need that much health, or where it comes in handy? All throughout SSC/TK, it seems that it's threat that becomes more useful, not stam. Should I/do I really need more than say 300 spell damage unbuffed in Hyjal/BT, or can I keep stocking up on my stam gear, and is there any point at which I get to make full use of my stam gear? Basically it comes down to, tier gear, or non-set plate gear, because the other warriors could definitely use the non-set plate gear in my guild, but the other classes could definitely use the tier gear. Is there one that I need to focus on, or is it just up to personal preference? Because if it is, I'd love to keep stocking up on stam.

I too am a diehard stam stacker, but that's mostly because I MT a fair bit. So I'd say it depends on what your role is going to be in BT/Hyjal. If you mostly OT/threat/aoe tank then stamina is probably less important than threat or block value.

Also, remember that effective health isn't just about your hitpoints, but also mitigation (armor and block value) and avoidance. Reducing your incoming damage becomes more beneficial once you have enough health to survive a boss's burst damage.

Threat is also important and only 200 spell damage seems a bit low to me with your dpsers gaining more and more damage. There's no point in having 16.5k HP if the boss won't stay targetting you Razz

I'm not in BT/Hyjal, and if I was I don't think anyone can really give you an exact number of health to aim for; in the end it all comes down to what feels right for you after you get some experience with a boss. If you like seeing huge HP numbers then I don't think there's any faults to doing it provided you aren't completely gimping yourself in another aspect.

I highly suggest reading Joanadark's post "The Point of No More Stam".
