Koralon

Me and my friends are very much looking forward to it, fafhrd. We've been talking about it for a while, even when it was a 'joke' on the PTR. Who knows, maybe it will be patched during the S7 patched. I hope not, since we will have to be very inventive to do this. Will require complete understanding of mechanics of every bosses enrage, leashing and minmaxing all roles etc. Looking forward to it .

Yeah, it definitely seems like it will be strat funfest if the tuning is good. Archavon himself is getting to the point where I think we can almost take him 100% to zero in the 60 minute interval if we really tried, so we might not have to engage him too long before the other 2 bosses are killed. Working both emalon and koralon down simultaneously will be the interesting part though, since there's no chance in hell of killing one then pulling and killing the other from full.

Especially with the personell limitations in 10 man, I think this could end up like Sarth3D in being harder on 10 than on 25. Pity there's not title for it.

Man that could mean at least 3 tanks on 10 man, one with each boss, including emalon one on the adds, those are still raid wiping ones if they explode, one healer on each tank and 4 dps, unless you leave archavon last and take the two other bosses to his room, burn archavon before grabbing a tank.

From emalon mechanic it's pretty clear that the "winning" tactic is taking the other two to low %, then pulling Emalon, zerging emalon (and adds) and then the other two.

Emalon 10 can be tanked by 1 tank, adds and all. Archavon only needs an offtank in case he grabs a tank, I guess you could have the Koralon tank taunt him during that bit (if you even get to that point.)

emalon 10man can be tanked by one tank and just one healer, even if the adds blow up. The explosion is 15k in 10man if not less and most raiders have 20k+ raidbuffed. The only problem might be healer mana but with full BV gear the damage taken by a paladin there is laughable now. Only the Lightning nova and chain lightning do anything with 4k BV

Get emalon low -> leave the 2 there
Get Koralon low -> everyone moves from koralon to Archavon
Burn Archavon and the emalon tank brings him to the middle and closer to archavon while archavon is being burned.

archavon can be offtanked by any plate class or who has enough armor or a CD to avoid/mitigate a lot of the hits.
