That free move will probably be taking up by the fact their is latency in all this which means it wont be exactly constant.

Out of curiosity, why did you decide to have a "free" slot before the first consecrate cast. It would seem that, on the first rotation at least, you should cast Consecrate at 4.5 seconds. (on the second time trough, you'd have to move it to 6.0)

I guess I could put AS there, but I have a strong feeling I'll be tossing that before I start my rotation, so it will be on cooldown, anyway.

HotR has always applied Seal of Corruption/Vengeance to target and secondary targets. Every hit of HotR also refreshes the current stack of Corruption/Vengeance on the main target as well as refreshes on the secondary target hit which also has some or all the debuff stacked. Whatever HotR hits with "this" particular seal it's auto refreshed on hit.

The hard question is, where would you sacrifice a talent point to get 1/2 Imp Judgment at 70? You'd have to drop a point from the 25-point bracket or further down.

Something like:

maybe

Don't really need Shield of the Templar at 70 as we don't get Shield of Righteousness until 75.
This one is my current planned spec for 70, then add in SotT, SotP and Divine Guardian on the way to 80

Not hard at all:
http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?paladin ... 1503310321

You are left with:
4 free points for anywhere

6 points that can easily be moved between T1-6
(*2/3 imp devo / 4/5 reckoning are non-essential)

3 points that can easily be moved between T1-10
(*Shield of the templar could easily be switched to redoubt or guarded by the light.)

Further observations:
Seals of the Pure isn't anywhere NEAR a mandatory talent. Very mediocre. Same with Benediction. Even if you completely disagree with me on this and feel you must have it, 4/5 SoP + 1/2 Imp Judgement is vastly superiour to 5/5 SoP threat wise.

Back to the OP!

Psiven, I personally am not gonna worry about Seal Twisting.
I see our threat being fine without it and instead plan to just work in Exor/Holy Wraith, Hammer of Wraith, or re-seal when applicable and when not consider it openings to cleanse or Hand someone.

playing around on the PTR this morning and it seems to me that SoV with a slow dps weapon is coming out ahead.

SoR seems sub-par still with any type 1-hander.

Mallet of the Tides was sub-par with either seal

A melee dps weapon will usually double the output of HotR and double your white damage for a minor hit to consecrate, seal, and judgement dmg.

In the end it should work out relatively neutral but with the melee weapon having defensive stats available.

Think of it this way....The best warrior threat weapons are rouge weapons (*including many daggers). Most tanks instead use mitigation weapons, should we be any different?

it just seemed that SoR didn't work as well with any weapon as SoV

If you slap on a 2H weapon, say stormherald, you should find it does much more damage with SoR than with SoV due to the HotR procs.

I haven't re-worked out the break even points for weapon speed with the new coefficients. But it certainly used to be that SoR > SoV at speeds slower than 3.0

Stickied. I'll probably move it to General or Basic Training when 3.0 hits as well.

Last time i checked, HotR needed a 1H weapon.
No "HotR procs" for you!

Thanks Lore :)

You may be used to opening with AS, but it's no longer the only time you can safely use it. So while you could consecrate at 4.5, the only benefit is that you get a tick or so at the beginning rather than 8 seconds later. There's no threat gained as you're still restricted on the recast.

A quick note on Exorcism and Holy Wrath. Most likely if you use HW it will drain your mana about as quickly as twisting seals. If you are fighting a demon you will most likely see better results from using these rather than twisting:
Exorcism every 18 sec
Holy Wrath every 30 sec

Exorcism will conflict with AS/HW at times, at a guess priority should be AS > Exo > HW

damm psi so are you saying we must have 1/2 imp judgement to be top threat rotation?

should i go 2/3 shield of templar to get that 1 pt over there?

or should i go 0 in shield of templar and put those 2 points into imp devo aura to max it out or put 2 into seal of the pure HMM
