What Consumables to Use While Tanking [severely outdated]

insane strength pot imo

Despite excellent scaling on str, the insane str potion performs poorly. For threat, a haste potion is comparable but for dps, the haste potion still wins. Additionally, there is the issue of its components being rare and being unsafe to use while tanking (which defeats the threat use).

Hey,

I'm looking at the stickies and determining what to prune for Cataclysm.

Please advise if you want to...

a) Keep this thread, and update it for Cata,

b) Dump this thread and start a fresh one for Cata, or

c) Dump this thread.

B or C depending on what our new options for consumables are. Not much to copy and paste here.

Can we unsticky this? If it is not to be replaced, then I suggest the following two threads be merged or otherwise consoldidated as a sticky:

viewtopic.php?f=4&t=30700

And:

There are fewer posts in the latter, but the original post has more discussion.
