I get too frustrated by RNG to manage the grind. My best was rank 10, havent bothered at all with higher ranks cause I lack several key legendaryes and epics for the meta decks.

Interesting. I've been running a Mech Mage early game with the Dragons at the top:



The polys are perhaps a bit questionable, but it's been working for me. *shrug* Ysera over Alex because I'm racing face decks, and Ysera's lots better vs mid-range or control.

I don't have bad turn 3s at least - Golem/Tank, or sometimes ridiculous Warper shenanigans.

Speaking of Mage, I've been piloting this list lately. Reminds me of old U/W Control decks in Magic.

That's an odd list, Passionario. It's like a Freeze Mage but with the changes I'm not sure what it's win condition is. Not enough early-mid game to wear the opponent down, not enough burst for a big finish. I mean, there's Antonidas, but not a lot to combo him with.

Is it even possible to make a serious Mage deck without Antonidas and Alexstraza atm? (As I lack both. In fact I lack Pyroblast too, but that's craftable I guess)

You can go for an aggro deck with Flamewakers and cheap spells/spare parts, I think that can work without Antonidas.

Am I the only one who has quit opening GvG packs and gone back to Classics? <.< The only actually relevant things i lack from GvG are Boom and Malganis, while I lack a ton of leges and epics from Classic =(

I'm missing a mix of GvG and Classic legendaries and epics, but more of them from Classic. Very low chances of pulling from packs in either case. (The other day I pulled a golden Malorne after an arena, and DEd it to make a bunch of epics.)

With regards to legendaries, my most successful decks are all pretty cheap and the only Legendary that I'm using is Dr. Boom. I'm completely free to play still as I'm not really in a rush to unlock everything as I know I'll just run out of goals and lose interest.

I haven't open any packs in a while because I'm still just saving gold for one last Blackrock wing. Again, I could just buy it, but then I'd wreck my goal. But when I was opening packs I would buy an arena run for a GvG pack and spend any left over gold on Classic packs. So always had an arena run on the go and a slow trickle of Classic decks.

It wins by exhausting the opponent's win conditions. Once their own threats have been neutralized, I can plant an unanswered Antonidas and win in 2-3 turns, methodically grind them down with Ysera, Water Elementals and Belchers or just let fatigue take its course.

I'm bad at this game.

I feel obliged to get to rank 20 every season for the card back, and I do the single player stuff (though I'm still not done with Nefarian, again! - it feels like you need some specific cards or synergies to have a chance at that encounter the actual way, and a great deal of luck of the draw to do it the cheasy way (OTK'ing him at 30+1)

I haven't really bothered with the heroic bosses (in Naxx nor in BRF) since they feel boring to me (build a random weird deck just for the sake of beating them once then forget about its existance).

I do the same otherwise, level 2, + dailyes every couple days. I always end up around rank 12-10 in the end, but both lacking certain important cards (cough dr balance) and lacking the will to do the grind is stopping me from getting any significant result.

I just consider HS a good way to kill some time at work

I have the cards, just not the skill to use them.

My issues are (still) with the normal version of the seocnd nefarian in brm, but yeah.. (Really sad, because I really like the class challenges, and I'm missing 3)

Weird son, I have killed Nefarian normal with just a standard control priest deck and no fancy plays.

I went for the OTK priest deck for Nefarian... it worked pretty well, you just have to be careful if you do any pinging to his armor before getting your combo.

My ranking's pretty terrible this season, but I just got my first golden hero (Mage).

The next closest is Druid at 427, might push for it.

I was mostly waiting for the dust to make a second Coghammer before I make the Paladin Hobgoblin deck that's been the latest HS cancer to toy with, but I made this because the Warlock card draw replaces the need for Divine Favor. Plus life tapping if on turn to (Either to get more cheap minions or a Hobgoblin if you don't have one already can be hilarious when your opponent thinks they're playing Demon/Handlock and starts to plan accordingly. The longer I could get away with not playing minions before I could drop the Hobgoblin first, the better.

Aside from the deck being limited when you don't have a Hobgoblin in hand/on the board, I've been going back and forth with some of the cards and removal options. I'm at work or I'd post what I have in it a present, but I'm open to suggestions. Here's the deck from the top of my head:

GAH! Finally grinded my gold for the Hidden Lab wing of Blackrock and got Nefarian down to 1 health with my Randuin fun deck and a full board vs his nothing, decided to use some of my mana to pop my Skygolem to see what I would have gotten and before I can finish Nef off the client crashes :,,,,(

That's not the cheesy way. The cheesy way is to finish him off with Bane of Doom, which automatically skips the next phase. (Also works on heroic Majordomo).

The new bits an pieces certainly sound quite exciting. I really hope they don't decide to put the brawls behind too hefty a pay-wall and especially give us a gold route to gain access.
