Where did you come up with your assumed percentages? 20% seems a little high to me, let alone 25 or 30%. Looking at the WWS from our guild's last sartharion run, his normal swings when unblocked were averaging around 7.5k on our 24k unbuffed armor tank.

Block values for starting raiding are generally around 1k. That's about 13%. The only way you're going to get near 30% is if you're VASTLY overgeared for the encounter in armor and BV, in which case who cares.

I've haven't seen hardly any block % gear, and I really don't think you need to look for it much, you're better off just gearing similar to the way warriors do. I think that was blizz's intention, to make less gear better for more people. If along the way you hit the block cap, great, but the only really important cap is the defense one.

on bosses like loatheb, being blockcapped and having a high BV is a huge advantage for us

I tank that boss with only 26k HP (buffed), but blockcapped and some 2300 BV (buffed)

102.4% will push all regular hits off of the combat table. every hit will be either dodged, parried, blocked, or miss.

102.4% didn't push just crushing blows off the table back in TBC, it pushed all hits off the table. and it contiues to do that now.

wheres the new macro?

i made a different post about it and no replies

i found a macro in the macro section, tried it, and it says 102.5ish and change... but when i add the numbers up myself im getting 98ish i think... am i not adding something in here???

under def it says 6.08, so i times that by 2.. since its there twice...

then add up my other stats, am i supposed to add in an extra "five" from our normal to miss?
