Considering he hatefuls every 1.5 sec in heroic, i doubt the melee would even have time to realize they need to move before being dead.

this is information my guild officers found on how patchwerk's HS work

It's indeed correct. We have been using 3 offtanks for 25 men, and only the first 2 in threat list would get hit. If one of them died, the 3rd would get hit. If that one got ressed, he'd not be hit again until he passed the melee or the melees all died.
