How to include Hammer of Wrath in your Rotation

I am considering to switch from using HotR to HoW, once the boss is below 20%. Both have the same cooldown and it seems to be a reasonable threat boost.

But I am wondering if it would not be more useful to switch to a Caster weapon at that time. I will not have any attacks that depend on weapon damage except for auto attacks. While white damage also produces threat, I am wondering, if the drop in "white damage" based threat could easily compensated by my increase in holy damage. Of course i will not lower my survivability for something around 10-20 tps, so I would like to know some more or less exact numbers.
Did anyone think about switching weapons in HoW-Phase as well and has made some number crunching on it?

Don't forget that weapon swicthing costs a GCD. Additionally once you are in the last 20% of a boss fight you are unlikely to be pulled off of in that short amoutn of time making increased TPS a mute point. Aditionally there may be an enrage aroud this point meaning that increased dps is the hero of the day which a melee weapon provides more of.

It's not wrong to do but it's highly situationally and marginally benificial.

I am sure there is a way to write the macro to use the different ability depending on the bosses health I just have no idea how to do it

No macros can check for mob or yourself health or (de)buffs. You need addons for that.

Doesn't Judgement do less damage than HotR now anyway? Skip half your judgements = Profit

Hammer of Wrath seems to be doing more damage than HotR or Judgement, so just replace HoW instead of one of those in your rotation.

Tbh your rotation for pure threat in the last 20% should be

1)Shield slam
2) Shield slam
3) HotR
4)HoW
5)repeat.

Not sure when this will be fixed though!

If you want mitigation then drop HotR and use Holy shield instead, with judgements when one is about to run out.

Currently there is a bug where ranks 1 and 2 of ShoR do not share a cooldown. I'm surprised this hasn't been hotfixed.

Assuming only one ShoR, after 20% ShoR does the most damage followed by hammer of wrath. As our threat is directly tied to our damage, there you have it.

ShoR
HoW
HoR
Holy Shield
Judgement (when necessary) replaces HoR.

There may be some overlap, but if you manage that and don't have any latency server-side, computer-side, or mentally then consecrate is still around. 96969 falls apart when you have three 6s abilities, and you just spam your highest threat move as it comes. A rotation isn't exactly a good idea, either. The mob won't be alive much longer, so there's little benefit to a stable rotation. All execute-like abilities for mages, warrior, ret pld, etc will be active and angry - the boss won't live long enough to eek out that extra bit.
