Targetting Addon...LF a connoisseur of fine addons

OK...pretty simple.

I was wondering if there is an addon that creates "raid frames" for lack of a better word, for my targets I am currently in combat w/?

So instead of displaying info above their head, it can be put into a nice box type window.

Thanks for any help offered

Most unit frame mods have the ability to add a target-of-target frame anywhere you like, if that's what you're after.

The popular ones include ag_unitframes, Perl Classic, and X-Perl, to name a few.

If that's not what you want, detail it out a little more? Just saying you want "raid frames for your targets you're in combat with" doesn't help a whole lot. Smile

What he means is that he wants a display showing all enemies that he's in combat with. Whether this is doable, I don't know. All I know is that X-Perl doesn't do it.

I'm worried what such an addon would look like with 10+ mobs attacking you. You wouldnt be able to see the screen with that many unit frames spamming your screen -_-

Depends how big the frames are.

If they're any bigger than the default hp bars, they would be too big. Any smaller and you wouldn't be able to make out anything. It's lose-lose in my opinion.

nah, i can imagine that a simple layout of a dynamic list of all the targets engaged in combat, showing hp bar/name etc would be fantastic to have, and not take up much space (unless you have an absurd number of targets, in which case it probably doesn't matter).

unfortunately, pretty sure nothing like that currently exists.

you might check out some kind of nameplate mod (like the new beta revision of aloft for WotLK, you can find it over on wowinterface) but that wont show them in any real structured list, just sort of scattered approximately where the mobs are on your screen.

Wait, aloft still works?

I have oft wished for an add-on like this, as well. Unfortunately it seems to be a niche market. (1) It is rarely useful in raids, as there are always enough tanks and aggro for each raid mob and each tank for raid mob is already strictly monitored.

The times I have wished for this are almost exclusively in 5-mans, but sometimes in 10-mans, when I'm the sole tank. I want to know what all the mobs are, and who they are targetting to insure that I have not lost AoE aggro on a mob somewhere/somehow to a healer or other squishy.

Thus, i'd require both every mob the party/raid is in combat with, and their targets, the latter which will hopefully always be a designated tank(me), and it would provide a warning if the mob switched main aggro target.

Yes, PvE proximo would seem apt. Except that Proximo doesn't show enemy targets, which is a feature I've oft wanted.

If one would exist, it would be impossible to have the list (missing a better word for it) of mobs to be clickable.
A frame (representing a unit/mob) that is created in combat and/or changes in combat can not be clicked.[1]
You would just have a list of mobs displaying and nothing else, don't think it would be of any use. :\

[1] Unitframes like PitBull, XPerl, ag_UnitFrames or what else are special as they use a template given by blizzard for this very task.
